What Sapia.ai offers

Sapia.ai describes itself as an AI interview platform for enterprise hiring, "built on the science of structured assessment". The core product is a chat interview. According to its interview page, candidates answer five structured questions in their own words, in an untimed text chat, and can pause and come back later. It is text only, with no video, voice or face. Responses are assessed against a competency model built for the role, every applicant is scored against the same criteria, and the hiring team gets a ranked shortlist with a fit score, a summary and the interview evidence behind each measured item. Every candidate also receives personalised insights and coaching tips.

The site also lists a job analysis tool that builds interviews, interview scheduling and a recruiter assistant for exploring scores. Its security section names ISO/IEC 42001, 27001, 27017 and 27018, GDPR and SOC 2 Type 2, and it links to an independent bias audit. Pricing is not published. The pricing page describes a per-hire model with unlimited interviewing, a custom rate based on your hiring volume, and says the technology is designed to best serve companies that hire more than 500 people a year.

What Infyva offers

Infyva does one part of the job: the first-round interview. Nova, our AI interviewer, asks each question aloud and the candidate answers in their own words, in the browser, when it suits them. By default every candidate for a job gets the same editable set of questions, written from the job description. Each answer is recorded, transcribed and scored against the job's competencies with written reasoning. A report with fewer than three answers says there is not enough evidence to recommend a next step.

For a real-time conversation with follow-up questions, the Live AI interview is a voice call with an on-screen interviewer, included on every paid plan at 0.5 credit a minute. Technical roles can add a Vibe coding round on Pro and Enterprise. Integrity notes are tied to the answer they happened on, hiring managers open a share link without an account, and candidates move through a six-stage pipeline. Faces, emotions, accent and tone of voice are not scored.

Where Sapia.ai is stronger

  • Security and fairness documentation. SOC 2 Type 2, several ISO standards including 42001 for AI management, and a linked independent bias audit. Infyva has none of these yet.
  • Candidate feedback. Every Sapia candidate receives personalised insights and coaching tips they can use elsewhere.
  • Built for scale. The pricing page says it suits companies hiring more than 500 people a year, and a per-hire model means unlimited interviewing.
  • Comfort with writing. Some candidates prefer to type, and a text chat can be answered anywhere without a microphone.

Where Infyva may fit better

  • You hear the candidate. Infyva's interview is spoken. Hiring managers can play back the exact answer behind a score, which matters for roles where speaking is part of the job.
  • Prices you can read. A 14-day Pro trial, then $39 a month for 30 credits or $149 for 150, and no minimum volume.
  • Real-time conversation. The Live AI interview, on every paid plan, asks follow-up questions aloud at 0.5 credit a minute.
  • Technical roles. A Vibe coding round on Pro and Enterprise shows the code and how the candidate used an AI assistant.

Questions to ask before you choose

  • Is speaking part of the job? For a sales or support role, hearing the candidate matters. For a role where written clarity matters more, a text interview has a case.
  • How many people do you hire a year? Sapia says it is designed for companies hiring more than 500 a year. Infyva has no minimum.
  • What evidence does a hiring manager see? In Infyva they can play the exact answer behind a score. Ask Sapia to show you the evidence view on a sample interview.
  • What does your legal team need? Sapia links to an independent bias audit. Infyva offers an impact-ratio data export on every plan, for an auditor you choose. If you hire in New York City, read our Local Law 144 guide first.

How Infyva's pricing works in practice: everything is paid in credits. An AI interview or a Vibe coding round uses 1 credit, and a Live AI interview uses 0.5 credit a minute. Sending an invite holds the credit, and you're only charged once the candidate gives a real answer. If they never start, the credit comes back. Monthly credits do not roll over, and top-ups never expire. Seats and jobs are unlimited on every plan.

Who should choose which

If you are a large employer hiring thousands of people a year, want a text interview that candidates can take without a microphone, and need the strongest security and fairness paperwork, Sapia is built for that. If you are a smaller team that wants a spoken interview, a recording behind every score and prices you can see up front, Infyva is worth a trial.
